Do you know that?
I'm back from the chalet, still sometime before I head to town for an appointment at 1130a.m. had great fun! Though some people failed to turn up, we NEVER failed to have fun! Agree people? Coincidentally, mabel and gang was having a chalet 1 block away from me, dropped by to say Hi. Will be posting some of the photos we've taken later.
Do you know that, after being a relief teacher for quite sometime, I'm beginning to feel a certain passion in the job? Yes, serious I do. You may laugh, but hey, I miss the kids so much. I always warms me, when children from the previous classes whom I've taught before say 'Hi' or engage in a conversation with me. And what matters to me most is I was remembered, well, during the most crucial time.
-Yesterday-
After my last P.E lesson with a P4 class for the day, I was in the staff room going through some work for my so-called "current form class" as the teacher will be away for quite sometime. Then 2 students appear in front of my seat:
Student: Mr Fu, our class and very noisy. And its beyond control
Mr Fu: Aren't there any teachers around?
Student: Yes, there's this relief teacher. But she don't want to shout.
Mr Fu: Don't want to shout? *Puzzled*
Student: Yes, can you go down and take a look?
And so Mr Fu went down to the class. The class was indeed very noisy and beyond control. And when I look at the "fresh" relief teacher, she was so helpless. A pissed and helpless sign can be seen on her face. I do my thing and they went back to their seats. After some warning, I left. But, I knew that 1 to 2 minutes later, everyone will be back to their usual self. Well, that's children.
I just felt a little touch, like what i've said, I was remembered. Hmmm, maybe that's just a beginning or perhaps after sometime, that kind of feeling will begin to turn neutral. It still warms inside.
"Kids are just kids. Though I shout, scold and scream, each time I step out from the class, its a new beginning".
